Veteran Student Support Services (VSSS), a unit of the Chez Veterans Center within the College of Applied Health Sciences, recognizes the selfless service and sacrifices made by members of our armed forces and the unique challenges associated with transitioning into a university setting. To support this transition, we are committed to providing Veterans, active duty personnel, National Guard and Reserve members and qualified dependents with the services necessary to pursue their academic and personal interests, explore different learning experiences, and integrate into the campus community.

My name is Jason Sakowski and I am the Coordinator for Veteran Student Support Services. Like you, I am a veteran myself. I know how stressful service to student transition process can be and I want you to know that I am here to help serve you as you have served our country. Think of VSSS as your resource for navigating the University of Illinois successfully. I can help assist you in finding answers about financial aid needs, student housing, veteran benefits, and any other questions you may have about your college education.
Respectfully,
Jason Sakowski

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government website at www.benefits.va.gov/gibill.
